Whitehorse Meadow - South Norwood - London

On the bottom of my road is a meadow. The area was cultivated as allotments for many years, when contaminants were found in the soil, the allotments closed and area laid out to a wildflower meadow. Its a beautiful space in the middle of a city, where wild flowers are allowed to grow.

On Easter Monday, along with my mum we took a walk down there to get a little closer to nature and for me to take a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.

  1. Trojan, this brings back memories of our Easter stroll to the meadow . . . such a lovely lovely oasis to have right on your very own doorstep. Am looking forward to being there with you very soon when I come to stay again in less than two weeks time. Hopefully, the ducks will have come back . . . ! Love you . . Mumxx
