Happy Birthday Aaron.

I wrote this for Sally....

Even though you’re gone,

Even though you’re gone,
I can almost hear you calling my name...
Felt your touch of your hand,
and see your smile light up a room.

Even though you’re gone,
I still feel you live on, in my heart,
Through the tears that I have cried,
Feel warmth of your memory
As I share a favourite story about you,

Even though you’re gone.
I am thankful that we had the chance to make those memories,
So thankful that you made my life so much richer.
And despite the loss , I feel today
if I had to do it all again.
I wouldn’t change a thing, as I know our love lives forever.

Happy birthday Aaron

Please Sponsor Trojan 'Tin Man' Gayle

On the 5th June, I am taking part in a charity walk called “Walk for Life” in aid of Crusaid. Crusaid provides information and support on the issues of HIV and Aids both in the UK and overseas.

Since 1989, the Walk has raised millions of pounds in support of the various initiatives run by Crusaid, both in the UK and overseas, particularly Africa, where the rate of infections remain disproportionately high. In the UK, Crusaid has funded many projects and services crucial to the ongoing support for literally thousands of people affected by HIV and AIDS, including the unique Hardship Fund, which provides a financial lifeline for those living with the virus in extreme poverty.

Fighting For Your Something You believe In.

It seem that every other day, people somewhere is protesting for change. From the Middle East, USA (tea parties) and across the world, people are demanding change. At the present moment Libya is fighting for change and the Libyans within the UK where demonstrating near where I work and I was able to take this picture. The picture above is showing supporters for the current regime, supporters for change were right of the picture (not seen).

This post is all those people fighting for what they believe in and their efforts to affect change through peaceful and transparent means.

I Will Follow You - A poem

I will follow you
I will follow you,
with my heart, soul and spirit,
this is what I will do for you.

I will follow you,
thru my doubts, my fears and a few tears
this is what you do for love.

I will follow you,
thru the laughter,
the joy and our memories
this is what I have built with you.

I will follow you,
and watch my youth fade,
and feel you drift away
do I continue to follow?,
this is what you do for love.

but when I need you,
to help me realise my dreams,
to hold me when I feel weak,
to be what I need you to be,
why do I feel so betrayed?
